Songs and Stories Open Mic
Music Nova Scotia is thrilled to announce the revival of the Open Mic stage - now at The Carleton Music Bar & Grill (1685 Argyle Street, Halifax) every Saturday afternoon 1-4 p.m., starting February 6. Songs and Stories Open Mic will be an opportunity for members and interested musicians to perform short acoustic sets on a Music Nova Scotia stage.
A feature artist will showcase every week. Signup will begin at 12:30 p.m. at The Carleton. Performance slots are open to Music Nova Scotia members. Not a member? Please enjoy one freebie performance and then after that, sign up!
"This is just another way we're trying to reach out to the community," said Music Nova Scotia's Executive Director, Scott Long. "By being in a music environment on a regular basis with the public and our members, we hope to widen the awareness of how our association assists musicians. We also want to socialize with our membership and hopefully draw in new members."
Music Nova Scotia thanks The Carleton and Molson Canadian for supporting this weekly show.
