JJ ROOTS exploded onto the East Coast Music scene with the launch of their debut album “Here Goes Something”.

Combining the diverse talents and backgrounds of Jocelyn Parlee and Jeff Scott Gray, the JJ ROOTS sound can rarely be categorized. This Canadian songwriting duo cuts to the core of listeners' emotions. Their combined multi-genre backgrounds inspires passionate melodies, sparked by colorful lyrics to provoke a profound response from audiences by way of soul-lifting vocals and powerful melodic riffs.

The JJ ROOTS alternative and contemporary acoustic Folk/Rock/Americana vibe has been referenced to such greats as Buffy Sainte-Marie, Sheryl Crow, Joan Baez, Coldplay, and Fleetwood Mac.

Known for their energetic yet subtle live performances, they showcase the music that inspires them through their original “JJROOTified” cover songs and shares their creatively unique and infectious songs.

JJ Roots has recently won the 2019 Overall Folk/Americana Duo of the Year at the Josie International Music Awards in Tennessee at the world-renowned Celebrity Stage Theatre in Dollywood, Tennessee. This is their second time, year over year, winning this highly competitive international title!

They show no signs of slowing down as they continue to create and transform their cutting edge sound with world-renowned producer/engineer Paul Milner on their sophomore album due to be released in Spring 2020. All while growing a committed fanbase and continuing to add dates to their 2020 Boxcars & Memoirs Tour.
