  • IN MEMORIAM STUART JOLLIFFE

    Stuart Jolliffe was the GM of the Westin Harbour Castle hotel in Toronto but his passion outside his business life was music and the musicians who made it. Stuart was a past board member of Music Nova Scotia, co-chair of the host committee for the Junos in Halifax, heavily involved in the East Coast Music Awards and a big supporter of Unison. His generosity to artists was unsurpassed.

  • Tunes at Noon Summer Concert Series Call for Submissions

    Downtown Halifax Business Commission (DHBC), DaVinci College, and Music Nova Scotia will once again present Tunes at Noon, a summer concert series featuring Nova Scotian performers of all genres of music Wednesday to Friday, from July 4 to August 17, 2018.

    “Tunes at Noon is entering its 11th year,” said Paul MacKinnon, DHBC Executive Director. “Downtown employees as well as visitors to the area look forward to the concert series every summer. The performers bring Grand Parade alive and the music creates a welcoming atmosphere for Downtown Halifax.”

    Casino Nova Scotia is calling on emerging Nova Scotian musicians to compete for the fifth annual Artist in Residence program. The $20,000 prize will provide an emerging Nova Scotian musician or group with financial, career training and showcase performance support through Casino Nova Scotia and partner Music Nova Scotia.
