Smokin’ Mirrors quintet is a group from various parts of Nova Scotia, Ontario and Texas! They meet to develop ideas and arrangements of jazz, blues, Bossa, show, and Latin tunes that have stood the test of time. Essentially, we are a theme and variations group, who take musical ideas from the not too distant past, and give them a new twist - sometimes even new lyrics. We are somewhat unique in that all of us can ad lib on the songs we like. The group consists of John “Birdie” Bird – keyboard, Paul Bishop – tenor sax, Clark Biesele – bass, Ian Bolton – drums, and Wendy Oxley, a wonderfully talented vocalist who adds another dimension to your entertainment.
