Born and raised  in Springhill, Nova Scotia, the Christopher Brown Trio hail from a world of musical possibilities and entertain audiences in a way only two life-long friends familiar with each other’s follies and fun can while delivering a musical performance you will want to see again. 

With over two decades of experience inside and out of the studio working and performing with East Coast musical royalty, Christopher Brown is no stranger to stages big and small while entertaining lively audiences with his repertoire of original and cover songs. 

With enough personality for two persons, Joe Potter justifies calling the duo a trio as he holds down the bottom-end with his upright bass, musically capturing the rhythms, mood and feel of each story a song takes you.

Trumpeter & vocalist Paul St-Amand returns to Winegrunt with a soulful mix of jazz, soul, and pop music. Paul has earned raves for his lyrical trumpet sound and expressive singing voice. He's a member of the popular Latin ensemble Son Latino, and has performed with many of Halifax's leading jazz, funk, and soul musicians. With his band Blue Spirits, Paul received a 2017 Music NS nomination for Jazz Recording of the Year.

The trio for this show features guitarist Ross Avey and bassist Casey Thompson. It's a reunion of sorts; Paul, Ross, and Casey were longtime members of the ECMA-nominated funk band Unidentified Funk Object.
