On April 30 2015, Music Nova Scotia hosted a town hall to generate constructive conversation about gender issues in the music industry. The goal was to work towards collective solutions to overcome roadblocks and challenges.
It was not just about airing grievances, but identifying and acknowledging common gender issues within the local music industry, using real-life scenarios to propose action or change and offering support to each other moving forward.
