CMT Video Assistance Program

Since launching in 1995, CMT's Video Assistance Program (VAP) has distributed an amount in excess of $15 million to the rights holders for the creation of music videos featuring Canadian Country artists. More than 300 Canadian artists and hundreds of independent production companies from coast to coast have benefited from VIP investment.

Become a FACTOR Juror

FACTOR relies on the participation of members of the Canadian music scene to help assess and fund projects through FACTOR’s Demo Program and Juried Sound Recording Program.

MUSICACTION

MUSICACTION, un organisme sans but lucratif, a été fondé en août 1985 à l’initiative des professionnels de la radio et de l’industrie du disque et du spectacle. Depuis 24 ans, la Fondation encourage le développement de la musique en soutenant la production et la commercialisation d’enregistrements sonores ainsi que les activités de promotion collective. Les projets de musique anglophone sont dirigés vers FACTOR.

A Foundation To Assist Canadian Talent, was created in 1984 concurrent with the launch of MuchMusic (now known as Much), which committed a percentage of its gross annual revenues to stimulate the production of new Canadian music videos. Two years later, when MusiquePlus went on the air, it also became a sponsor, as did MuchMoreMusic when it launched in 1998. The launch of MuchMoreMusic) also marked the creation of PromoFACT, an Electronic Press Kit and website production fund for Canadian artists, independent record labels and artist management companies.

Canada Council for the Arts

The Canada Council for the Arts provides support for the development of individuals, groups, small ensembles, orchestras and other professionals working in the Canadian music community. In addition to tours, concert production, sound recordings and festival programming, the Music Section funds a variety of related activities such as residencies and the commissioning of Canadian compositions.
