Ragged Mane Release "Five Nights" EP

posted by Ragged Mane on Sunday January 19

JANUARY 25th, 2014 (Halifax, NS) Ragged Mane will be taking “the stage” at RockBottom BrewPub in Halifax as they kick off their Nova Scotian release of their “Five Nights” EP Release Tour. Having started their tour at one of the bands favorite tour stops - Plan B Lounge in Moncton on the 24th with Moncton's own, Rusted Flowers – the Antigonish based folk-pop-rock band is happily returning to where they played one of their first Halifax shows, RockBottom BrewPub.

Released digitally in September - “Five Nights” has been receiving rave reviews, being described as “ ... a well produced musical story... of a young man going off on his own to find his way in the world.. a roving wanderer, this sensitive, sensitive soul embodies the entire album.... [Thank You] makes the most perfect ending to a great journey..” by Guff Magazine's Anthong Leclair.

Justin Layes (rhythm guitar), describes their style as “quirky drums and a funk bass layered with folk rhythms and a sexy leading lick” - add Matt Howard's great tone and stage presence and you've got yourselves a funky folk masterpiece like nothing you have ever experienced. As Guff's Leclair says “... it's hard to describe a flavour to someone that previously did not exist.”

January 24th will be the kick off of Ragged Mane's “Five Nights” EP release tour followed by their Halifax show on the 25th at RockBottom BrewPub and The Split Crow in Truro on the 31st with more dates added daily. You can hear “Five Nights” on their BandCamp page ( http://ragged-mane-music.bandcamp.com/album/five-nights) – name your price and download a digital copy or come on out to a show, get a taste of Ragged Mane and grab a physical copy while you're there for just 5 bucks!
