The Drug Rugs Release Singles "FOREST" and "CRAWLIN"

posted by The Drug Rugs on Saturday June 24

Haligonian indie-pop outfit The Drug Rugs are releasing two new singles this Monday, June 26.

The combined release, simply titled Forest/Crawlin’was recorded at the NSCC Waterfront Campus this past winter with Michael Rains and Haydn Bell.

Though suitable together, the two songs are lightly contrasting in style. “Forest” is a funky expression of the desire for personal connections, while “Crawlin” is a doomier, gloomier epic about the feeling of unease.

The release will be available on Bandcamp for free download on Monday, June 26.

The Drug Rugs are a sparkly, five-piece indie-rock band from Halifax. Recalling and reinventing sounds from bands like the Smiths, Prince, St. Vincent, and Iggy Pop, the Drug Rugs create a sound that is modern and unmistakably their own.
