Blue Spirits

Fronted by trumpeter/vocalist Paul St-Amand, Blue Spirits sounds like a modern spin on Chet Baker, blending strains of jazz, blues, R&B, and folk into a soulful sound. Formed in 2016, the band has been active on the Halifax scene, collaborating with artists like Andrew Jackson, Silvio Pupo, Zoe Leger, and Carolyn Curry. Blue Spirits performs a mix of originals, jazz standards, and fresh takes on rock, pop, and blues hits.

Blue Spirits released their debut album 'Liquid Courage' in June 2017. The album scored a Nova Scotia Music Award nomination for Jazz Recording of the Year.
