Office Closure Update

As we continue to navigate the challenges of COVID-19, Music Nova Scotia is striving to deliver the services and resources our members have come to expect. The office will remain closed until at least early 2021. In the meantime, we have made the following adjustments in order to offer the following services and resources for our members.

Poster Printing

Members can email a PDF of their poster to info@musicnovascotia.ca for printing. The first 50 black & white copies are free (per day, per member), then $0.10 each onwards. Colour copies are $0.50 each. Once your printing is complete, you can arrange a time with a staff member to pick them up. Masks are mandatory while in the Music Nova Scotia office.

ARC Resource Centre

The ARC Resource Centre is available for use by appointment. We encourage our members who have personal computers and home internet to please use their own computers at this time in attempts to minimize interaction. We recognize, however, that some members may rely on Music Nova Scotia for access to a computer and internet, therefore we are able to make these resources available by appointment: to inquire about an appointment, contact us at info@musicnovascotia.ca. Only one member will be able to book into the ARC Resource Centre at a time. Masks are mandatory while in the Music Nova Scotia office.

Support

Zoom and phone calls with Darryl Smith regarding Investment Programs, Membership, or Member Training, are always available. If you need anything - from help with your funding applications to your membership, from SOCAN to digital distribution - Darryl can help you or point you to the correct resources. Please email darryl@musicnovascotia.ca to set up a virtual appointment.

Artist Development Information Sessions

As previously announced, this year there is a special one time only deadline for the Artist Development Program. This deadline is available to any Artist (not rated Artist II or III) who didn't apply in 2020 or was unsuccessful in May of 2020.

These sessions are designed to walk applicants through the application process, explain what is required to apply, how to best fill out the written sections of the application, and answer any questions that participants may have.

Sessions are:
September 17 (Thursday) - 6PM
September 28 (Monday) - 2PM
October 6 (Tuesday) - 7PM

Each session is the same although you are welcome to attend more than one if you find that beneficial.

You can now RSVP here - https://podio.com/webforms/25137425/1853110

Please contact Darryl Smith with any questions at darryl@musicnovascotia.ca.
