Music Nova Scotia Music & Industry Award Winners 2013

(Sydney, Nova Scotia) - Forty-Six Music Nova Scotia awards were handed out on Sunday, November 10 between the Bell Aliant Community One Music & Industry Awards Brunch at the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre and the NSLC Gala Awards Show at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion. 
 
Classified won four awards including Music Video of the Year and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year for his platinum single Inner Ninja featuring David Myles.  Matt Mays latest release Coyote earned him Male Artist, Recording and Rock Recording of the Year wins. Mo Kenney’s debut album Mo Kenney won her New Artist, Female Artist and Pop Recording of the Year. The Stanfields were awarded Group Recording of the Year and fans voted the band Music Nova Scotia Entertainer of the Year.

Mana's Radio 91.7FM wants NS Celtic Music Submissions for their Celtic Show in Maui

Hamish Burgess hosts a Celtic music show on non-profit and volunteer staffed Mana'o Radio 91.5 fm KEAO-LP Wailuku, Maui. The Maui Celtic Show is part of 'Sunday Solstice'.  The radio show is available live online at www.manaoradio.com. Local time 8-10 am.  Hamish was featured with the Irish Rovers on Global TV this week  and CTV Atlantic Morning.

Classified, Dave Gunning and Kyle Mischiek added to The NSLC Gala Awards Show at Molson Canadian Nova Scotia Music Week

(Halifax, NS)  Theatre and television professionals Jeremy Webb and Jill Chappell will host The NSLC Gala Awards Show on Sunday, November 10 at the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion in Sydney. Webb is an arts correspondent on radio and TV with Off The Leash  and a seasoned stage actor. Chappell co-hosts Global TV’s Morning News, with a history of acting with Shakespeare by the Sea and Mermaid Theatre.
 
Folk Recording of the Year Nominee Dave Gunning, Cape Breton’s Kyle Mischiek and multiple award nominee Classified have been added to the talented lineup of gala performers.  The gala will also feature performances by Jenn GrantMary Jane Lamond and Wendy MacIsaacErin CosteloThe Tom Fun OrchestraMo KenneyThe Stanfields and  Rhapsody Quintet.
 
The Entertainer of the Year, Male and Female Artist of the Year, Recording of the Year, Group Recording, Video, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year and New Artist of the Year Award winners will be presented at the NSLC Gala Awards Show.
