FACTOR Annual Review Communications

The deadline to submit a new profile or to update an existing profile for the Annual Review is Friday, February 28th, 2014 at 11:59 PST. This includes all Artist and Company profiles in the system. During this time, your current Artist Rating will still be reset even if no new information has been provided. All new ratings will be effective as of April 1st, 2014.
The entire artist pool and Artist Ratings will be re-evaluated at this time. Because scoring results will always be based on the most recent distribution, the range of scores will change. This means that your Artist Rating could be affected whether or not you submit new information. Some artists will move UP, some artists will move DOWN.
Artists should update and maintain their profiles wherever necessary. For example, the Social Media section of the Artist Profile should be updated when a significant leap has been made with regard to views, likes, followers, etc., or if you have a sales hit or make it to a commercial radio chart. If your numbers in criterion have improved, you should update your profile. Remember to hit “Request Review” before the deadline. FACTOR has also made some changes to their Profiles – please see post for detailed information. For more information on FACTOR’s Ratings, please click here.
The Annual Review deadline is Friday, February 28th, 2014 at 11:59 PST. This includes all Music Company profiles in the system. All new ratings will be effective as of April 1st, 2014.
Companies that wish to receive a higher rating or be considered for the Comprehensive Music Company (CMC) Program MUST submit all the required information on or before the Annual Review deadline.  In addition:
(a)    Current CMC companies that do not update info as of this deadline will be rated on their older information, which may cause them to lose their rating;
(b)   Current CMC companies that, after the Annual Review, fall to Level 3 or lower will be given a year’s grace to remain in the program. After this time, they must compete again and if they are still matching Level 3 or lower, they will be out of the CMC program.
Companies should update and maintain their profiles whenever necessary, and ensure that all mandatory documents have been uploaded. This includes your most recent audited financial statements. Please see post for more details.
In previous years FACTOR’s application portal was shut down during the month of March while we worked on upgrades and program revision.
This year, we will continue to accept Applications right through to the end of the fiscal year (March 31, 2014).  Artist Ratings and Company Ratings held as of today will be valid for applications submitted up to midnight PST on March 31, 2014.
With some exceptions, you may now apply for activities taking place next fiscal year.  However, some programs have rules in place that dictate when these applications can be made. Please see the full list below, and contact your Project Coordinator with specific questions about your application. Please see post for detailed information.
