Halifax Indie-Folk Rockers electrifying the night with both energetic and soft, dynamic tunes fit for psychedelic people/rock n rollers alike.

Loud, energetic Indie Folk-Rock band The Lightning Bursts are taking Halifax by storm with a new single “Everything You Love” from their EP of the same name except with “And More…” tacked on. Taking influences from classic bands like Nirvana, Neutral Milk Hotel, and The Beach Boys; The Lightning Bursts mix old-school sounds with with modernity as if it’s going out of style. With a right mix of catchiness and experimentation, The Lightning Bursts are not to be slept on by any means.

Lyricist/composer Jorden Conrad uses self-reflection, recounted experiences, and visual descriptives to create an honest, introspective window into how he’s experienced the world so far. Jorden is accompanied by percussive extraordinaire Amber Dunham and big bass-man Aaron DeCoste to create a sound described as “more than just a three-piece”. In other words, The Lightning Bursts exceed beyond being merely all their separate parts combined.

Their first EP “Everything You Love And More…” (recorded by Mark Murphy of The Standfields) is set to be released on all streaming platforms March 3rd, 2025. Using a big, acoustic sound with accents of electricity, this debut EP marks the beginning of a new sonic chapter in Halifax Indie Folk-Rock music. Keep an eye out for The Lightning Bursts because they are will and ready for the next big step.
