Long-time multi-instrumentalist turned singer-songwriter, Nadia Kane was inspired to go it on her own as part of her recovery from a serious brain injury which left her unable to perform or listen to music for several years. After finding ways to collaborate on a second release with her duo, FAUXKNOW (a musical project she shares with with her life partner and CanCon icon Kevin Kane of The Grapes of Wrath and The Northern Pikes), she began feeling out some quieter tunes of her own as Dirty Ribbons.
Combining haunting female vocals with piano, strings, guitars, and the occasional synth, this Nova Scotia solo artist released her first single, Signs, in the Spring of 2024, following it up with a second single, Now That You’re Gone, the following December. She continues to record new music.
