Victoria sings with earthy tones and a soulful sound. A blend of sultry, bluesy, folksy emotion, threaded like a tapestry through her songs and storytelling.

At 66, Victoria Pearl has come full circle. She first picked up a guitar and sang in school coffee houses as a teenager, but life took her down many roads before music called her home again twelve years ago. Today she writes and performs with the kind of honesty and wisdom that only decades of real living can bring.

Born and raised along the coast of rural Nova Scotia, Victoria has lived the past 38 years on a small sustainable farm along the Medway River, living close to the earth and learning the quiet language of animals—an “animal whisperer” to friends. She served her communities as a devoted health care worker before stepping into public life as an elected Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). After years of serving the people of Nova Scotia in politics, she retired and returned to the music that has always lived in her heart.

Victoria is a passionate champion of the local music scene. Through her popular house concert series at the Little Red, she has organized, hosted, and promoted intimate performances for emerging and established Nova Scotia musicians. These cozy, welcoming gatherings showcase local talent while offering audiences a warm, personal setting to enjoy live music up close—building community and creating memorable musical experiences for both artists and listeners alike.

Releasing ‘Joe’s Whale Song’ her first production in 2019, her original songs are deeply personal stories drawn from a life well-lived: love and loss, the beauty and hardship of rural life, the joy of simple things, and the resilience of spirit. Delivered with warmth, wit, and a touch of that unmistakable Maritime soul, her writing blends folk, country, blues, alternative pop and gospel in a style that

feels right at home in the 1960s, ’70s, and ’80s traditions she grew up loving.

When she’s not sharing her own tunes, Victoria offers a rich selection of carefully chosen covers—classic songs that connect generations and invite audiences to sing along. Whether she’s delivering a heartfelt ballad on acoustic guitar or lifting the room with an upbeat country or gospel number, her performances are intimate, engaging, and full of story.

Victoria Pearl brings more than just music to the stage—she brings a lifetime of experience, a generous spirit, and the rare ability to make every listener feel seen and understood. Perfect for intimate listening rooms, community events, festivals, or any venue that values authentic storytelling and heartfelt song.
