Lily Gunn is an emerging folk, alt-country singer-songwriter based in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Rooted in the East Coast’s rich storytelling tradition, her music centers on emotional honesty, quiet observation, and a deep sense of place. With a performance style that is stripped-back and intentional, Lily creates an intimate space for listeners to engage closely with her narrative-driven songs.
A familiar face on the East Coast circuit, Lily has shared her music as a “tweener” at Stanfest and the Kempt Shore Festival, as a featured youth artist for Nova Scotia Music Week, and has opened for various artists across Nova Scotia. Her artistry is further shaped by her debut EP—a collaboration with acclaimed songwriter and producer Dave Gunning. This latest collection of songs marks her arrival as a compelling new voice in the folk community, blending her lifelong love for the festival scene with a fresh, authentic perspective.
Rooted in the storytelling traditions of Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Lily Gunn’s music is a bridge between traditional folk and atmospheric alt-country. Her debut single, “Bad Things,” showcases a “sonorous” full-band expansion of her usually minimalist, intentional solo style.
“It’s a brilliant debut release.”

When she takes the stage, that complexity is distilled into its rawest form. Performing solo with a stripped-back setup, Lily’s sets are built on intentional silence and raw, alt-country textures, creating an intimate space for her narratives to breathe.
