But that’s part of what it is to be ‘norc’. We don’t sweat genres; we just make music that comes naturally to us and worry about what it’s called later.

norc is a four-piece collective with an unmistakable chemistry, crafting tunes that blend the simplicity of pop, math-rock intricacy, and the mind-bending energy of psych rock. And with a band full of metalheads, we throw in a dash of metal intensity when we feel like it – just because. Influenced by every band we’ve ever loved – we thrive on unexpected turns, soaring melodies, and rhythms that make you question whether your brain or your feet are in control.

Sonically speaking, we’re like the lovechild of Paramore and Tame Impala.The tight rhythmic wizardry, the otherworldly vibes, all with an emotional punch – but even that doesn’t quite capture the madness. Lightning fast drumming, beautifully trippy synths, impenetrable walls of guitar and monstrous bass tones, we bring it all to the table. Psychedelic? Sure. Pop? Maybe. Rock? Definitely. But honestly, we’d rather you just come to a show and let your ears decide. Leave the genres at the door and let the music do the talking.
