Skunk Motel

Welcome to Skunk Motel; It’s loud as frig, messy as hell, and there’s always room for everyone. Led by drummer and songwriter Maya Taraschi with Sarah Ellen Morrison on vocals, Sara Eve on Bass and Kate Bo on guitar.

Welcome to Skunk Motel; It’s loud as frig, messy as hell, and there’s always room for everyone. With hard-hitting drums, disarming vocals, and driving guitars, Skunk Motel paints an image of an anxiety-induced daydream. Through the use of captivating lyrics and moody melodies, the all-female onslaught forces you to navigate the twists & turns of turbulent emotions alongside them, offering you both a hug and a hand grenade. Led by Maya Taraschi on drums with Sarah Ellen Morrison on vocals, Sara Eve on Bass and Kate Bo on guitar.Skunk Motel is an alternative punk/grunge band from Halifax. Within their first year as a group, Skunk Motel has played showcases at Nova Scotia Music Week 2022, the Halifax Pride Queer Music Fest, and the East Coast Music Awards on both the Breakout and the Loud Stage. The band has been playing shows in Halifax and surrounding Nova Scotian cities and has sold-out venues like The Seahorse Tavern (300 capacity) The Steel City (210 capacity) and Gus’ Pub (150 capacity). Skunk Motel is opening for Cancer Bats in May 2023, and planning a regional with Like A Motorcycle for the Summer of 2023.
