The Squids are an eclectic psychedelic rock and funk band; featuring original songs that will remind the listener of headier days in the 60’s with current, sometimes funny and poignant lyrics. Leaning on classic rock roots, the audience finds itself wondering if they are in an alternate universe where the songs sound familiar but can’t figure out why they haven’t heard them before.

2026 may be the Year of the Horse but we think it is the Year of the Squid (no offence to horses). This year is the 30th anniversary of the forming of the original Squids band. The latest incarnation is the most prolific, being together for over ten years and on the eve of releasing our first album together, Guitars and Cats, we couldn’t be more proud of our current line-up.
