Music Nova Scotia is excited to announce the 2026 Industry Builders Camp, a five-day immersive workshop and networking retreat for export-ready artists and music industry professionals. Taking place Monday, February 2 through Saturday, February 7, 2026 at White Point Beach Resort, this program is designed to provide advanced training, mentorship, and collaborative opportunities for participants looking to elevate their careers and expand their presence in domestic and international markets.
This program was created under the Wavemakers Legacy programming banner; funding provided by the Province of Nova Scotia following the 2024 JUNO Awards in Halifax. With generous support from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, Halifax Music Fest, and Rob & Monique Sobey, this program will bring together one artist and one industry member from each region across the Atlantic (PEI, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Cape Breton & Mainland Nova Scotia) in a reinvented retreat mirroring the intention of the Wavemakers program.
for songwriters, performers, and creators, focusing on advancing creative output while building business acumen. Workshops will include co-writing, recording, branding, content creation, personal health and wellness, and foundational business skills such as financial sustainability, royalties administration, and business planning.
for managers, agents, publicists, and other music professionals, with a focus on supporting artists and developing sustainable careers. Sessions will include marketing, social media strategy, budgeting, funding strategies, and personal health and wellness to help maintain long-term career balance and effectiveness.
While each track will have specialized workshops and mentorship, collaborative sessions will bring artists and industry professionals from across the Atlantic region together to foster relationship-building, peer learning, and real-world problem-solving. Participants will also be challenged with mentor-guided assignments designed to apply skills learned each day.
The Industry Builder Camp builds on Music Nova Scotia’s highly respected Basic Training program, providing deeper, tailored instruction in a supportive, collaborative environment. Participants will leave with actionable plans, industry connections, and practical skills to advance their music careers or professional practice.
Applications are now open until Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Export-ready artists and music industry professionals from PEI, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Cape Breton & Mainland Nova Scotia may apply using this form.
