Music Nova Scotia is pleased to announce an expansion to the Artistic Creation Program!

The Artistic Creation Program was started in February 2021 for artists of racialized communities and provides $1,500 in investment towards the creation and marketing of musical and audio-visual artistic creations, including but not limited to recordings, performance videos, & music videos.

New Programs:


Artistic Creation Program II – The Artistic Creation Program II will provide $3,000 in investment toward a combination of recording, marketing, music video, showcasing, and touring.

This program will be available to artists who have already accessed the ACP program twice and/or are rated at Artist II in Music Nova Scotia’s programs.

All programs in the ACP suite are 100% funded; no monetary contribution is required from the applicant.

The ACP suite of programs are only available to applicants of racialized communities: People of Mi’kmaq descent and other Indigenous Peoples; people of African, Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, and mixed racial heritage descent who have been historically disadvantaged as a group and may experience discrimination based on colour, culture and race.

Music Nova Scotia recognizes the support of the Province of Nova Scotia. We are pleased to work in partnership with the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage to develop and promote our cultural resources for all Nova Scotians.

Industry Builders Mentorship Program – The Industry Builders Mentorship Program will provide up to $15,000 to pay wages, accommodations, and travel costs to support developmental employment relationships between Developing and Export-Ready Artists/Companies/Entrepreneurs (Mentee) and mentors in which a more experienced music industry professional (Mentor) shares information, skills or knowledge and standards or best practices that will advance the applicant’s career, enhance their education and build their networks.
